Due to Bill 132 all "pit bull type" dogs born after November 2005 are required to go out of the Province of Ontario or be put to death. If you are located out of province, please contact us directly as we know of many puppies and young dogs that are needing homes desperately. Please help us save their lives.

Meet Jaxon: If you want a dog who... Is medium to large, with a rugged, sleekly-muscled "masculine" build Needs minimal grooming Loves to romp and play Is usually steadfast and reliable with everyone Looks imposing enough that he is an effective deterrent even when friendly A Boxer may be right for you.

If you don't want to deal with... Rowdiness and exuberant jumping when young Potential aggression toward other dogs (usually of the same sex) A strong-willed mind of his own, requiring a confident owner who can take charge Snorting, wheezing, snoring Slobbering and drooling Gassiness (flatulence) Very real potential for health problems and a short lifespan

So, if you are still interested in having a Boxer join your family, Jaxon might be the boy for you. JAXON is just over 2 years, vaccinated & neutered.

He is all of the above and more. Jaxon adores his family, will take chase after moving objects – that includes joggers - and is not always friendly with other dogs, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at

We are in Urgent need of a foster or forever home for Massey is an 11 year old Cocker Spaniel mix who has found herself looking for a new place to call home, due to no fault of her own.

Due to health issues, Massey's senior humans are no longer able to care for her or give her the care and attention she requires. Although she is 11 years old, Massey has the energy and heart of a two year old. She is bright and humorous and she loves long walks. Massey has some health and behaviour issues of her own and will require an experienced and patient person to guide her and teach her what is expected of her.

Massey has had a leg injury and has recovered, but must be monitored to ensure she does not reinjure herself. She has some issues with food and needs to be kept in check with her eating habits. (Massey has been "taught" to bark for just about everything and will require a patient and understanding individual to work with her on this issue).

Massey will do best in a quiet home, as the only dog and with no children. Although Massey has lived with other dogs most of her life, she would benefit from an environment where she can receive the attention, care and training she has needed for so long.

If you think you could give Massey the perfect foster or forever home, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at

URGENT!! FOSTER HOME NEEDED: We are in desperate need of a foster home for Macy. We want to get her in to see a vet asap and get her back on the path of good health. If you or someone you know can open up your hearts and home to Macy, please visit our website and fill in our online application. Warning. The one picture is particular is graphic.

Click to enlarge...Click to enlarge...Click to enlarge...

This is one of the saddest cases we have ever seen. Met Macy. She is a very sweet rotti girl who was picked up as a stray (well actually tied to a tree ) She was 39 pounds when the shelter first brought her in a month ago!!! She could barely stand let alone walk. The shelter has worked so hard with her and she has put on about 5 pounds and is doing well however we really want to get her into rescue so we can make sure gets lots of love and full vetting. She is approx 7 or 8 years old and has been tested with dogs and cats.

If you are interested in fostering Macy, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at

Meet Saige, a beautiful 6 yr. old female Rottweiler. Saige is a very sweet girl who loves everyone she meets. She is good with most all dogs although we would prefer a home with a large, laid back male. She adores her foster brother Jack. Although we have not seen her with cats we are told she is good with cats as well. She has met a lot of children on her walks and she is very respectful of them.

Click to enlarge...Click to enlarge...Click to enlarge...

Saige has come a long way with her leash walks but she does get reactive when meeting dogs on leash during walks and having never gone for walks previously she can be reactive if vehicles or motorcycles pass by.

We are looking for a large breed experienced home that will continue with her leash training. Saige will need a home with a fenced in backyard where she can run and play and spend summer days laying in the sun.

Saige is not destructive when left alone in the home. Saige is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

If you are looking for the “total package” and a wonderful family companion, look no further ... Saige could be just what you are looking for.

If you think you can give Saige a home, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at

Meet Ricky. He is such sweet boy and we cannot understand why he hasn’t yet found his forever home. Ricky is healthy, almost 10 years old now and he does suffer from allergies however he is being fed a specific food and he seems to be much, much better. His new family will need to stay vigilant and continue with his food regiment so he doesn’t regress.

Ricky loves everyone, including children. While Ricky is good with other dogs he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Ricky LOVES his toys but sadly does not like to share with other dogs so we would love to find a nice quiet home where he can enjoy his toys. Ricky does not guard with people.

Ricky LOVES children as well. In his foster home, the 8 yr. old child walks him and he does very well with that. Ricky is good with cats (he actually doesn’t pay any attention to them). Ricky is perfectly fine left in the home alone, he is not destructive. He also loves to splash around in water – a typical labby boy.

Ricky would LOVE to have a home with a nice fenced in backyard and a family to love him forever.

If you think Ricky is the boy for you, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at

URGENT - Did you know that smiling is infectious? I’ll bet you’re smiling now!! As you can see from her photos, Tali is always smiling. She is a happy energetic girl who does need lots of exercise and attention. She is thoroughly enjoying her training which is fun and must continue to be a part of her daily routine. Tali is looking for a family with Rottweiler experience, no young children and a safe fenced area where she can let of steam. Here’s what Tali has to say...

I'm truly a sweet girl and will give you all my trust as long as you promise to give me space and allow us time to get to know each other I love meeting new people and I have the best wiggly butt ever!! I'm really not scary just get hyper sometimes and will require a family with no small kids as I'm fast and I mean really fast and when I run there is no way I can stop in time if there is a small child in the way and I never want knock a little one over so I'd say home with kids over 13 and they must love to play ball with me and walk me and then we can snuggle for our favourite show.

I find myself a little leader so I'll need a family that will train with me and teach me lots of new things ‘coz I'm very smart and love to please my people. I’m ok with most dogs I meet but I'd prefer a male who's really relaxed and laid back and just wants to hang out, I'm house trained and crate trained so I prefer to rest in my crate while we get to know each other as it makes me feel safe.

Don't let my size fool you I maybe small but I'm still Rottie girl or as my best friend Cos says I'm a "Rotten Rottie Girl" lol  I love it when he calls me that cause I get kisses and lots of belly rubs. Please don't be nervous of my story I was honestly miss judged cause I was so alone and didn't know how nice people can be and that is why I smile so much now.

My rescue team has the best support group we could ever ask for. If we live close to where I'm staying in Georgina we can attend training classes for free and I get to stay in touch with all the awesome people that helped me  if not it's ok ‘coz my team of rescuers have put a regime together so that me and my new foster/adoption family are guaranteed to succeed.

So how about you fill in a foster or foster to adopt application and when you email it over I'll take some time after ball play and dinner to read them and get in touch with you. Let Tali put a smile on your face every day.

If you think Tali may be a good fit for you and your family, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at

URGENT! EXPERIENCED ... Baxter is a very handsome 2 year old male rottweiler. Not only is he handsome but he is BIG and strong which is why we are looking for an experienced foster home for Baxter. He has spent the past several months at a boarding kennel where he has been an excellent boarder. However Baxter would love nothing better than a home to call his own.

Click to enlarge...Click to enlarge...Click to enlarge...

We believe a nice laid back large breed female would be ideal however a meeting would definitely need to be arranged with the resident dog. Because he is at a boarding kennel we cannot properly assess him with other dogs but he has shown no aggression towards the other dogs at the kennel and also displays “playful” behaviour.

Baxter is a country boy ... raised in the country and boarding at a beautiful facility in the country. City life can be stressful for Baxter as the noise and traffic is stressful to him. We would love to find a home in the country with a nice fenced in backyard and a family that will give him a chance to shine. We are looking for a country/rural home with no children under the age of 16 and experience with the power breeds.

If you think this handsome boy is the dog for you, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at

Bear is a very handsome 5 year old neutered Rottweiler boy with a fair amount of energy to work off.  He does require some leash training as he uses his 105lbs of weight to pull you around. Bear has been getting familiar with walking with a muzzle as he sometimes is dog reactive. In a previous home he has spent some time with another large female dog that he got along with.  Bear has been around men, women and children however he seemed reactive to children under 15 years of age so we are looking for a home without children under the age of 15.  He does love to roll over and get his belly rubs before he goes out for a walks.  Bear needs an experienced foster/ adopter with patience to continue to work with his  food and toy guarding. Needless to say despite his issues Bear is as still a sweet boy.

We were able to visit Bear at the shelter and found him to be a very nice boy.  He was in the play area and loved to play with the balls in the yard.  Bear came right over to us for treats and pets though.  He is a very handsome rottie that just needs a chance to show how good he can be.  We feel with proper direction he will overcome is resource guarding and make an amazing companion for a lucky family.

If you are willing to continue with Bears’ training and provide a loving family environment for Bear, please fill out the on-line adoption/foster application on the left. If you have any questions, please email us at
